I'm not even sure you can order them anymore but lots of Cessnas have the Madras Super Tips still installed. These are not the Wing-X wing extensions; these are the sharply downswept wing tips installed in place of the stock Cessna wingtip. Some years ago, I installed them on my '57 182A jump plane, flew several low-speed runs and a series of stalls, and then wrote a report for the December 1999 issue of USPA's Parachutist magazine. If all they do is provide increased low-speed controllability (and that may be all they do), the Madras Super Tips are worth having on a jump plane.
